So like most of you out there, I’ve been inundated with iPhone commercials and surrounded by people touching away at their screens. Well, as I walked into an AT&T store this past Monday with my wife in the hopes to get one, we came to the hard realization that unless you’ve got an extra $30+ dollars to spend a month, you’re S.O.L. Unbeknownst to us, the purchase of an iPhone requires an overpriced data package and if you want to use the GPS you’re looking at another $10 ontop of that! In addition to that, the phone itself is $200 for the 8GB and $400 for the 16GB! The day when I decide to spend that much on a cell phone is the day I have too much money on my hands.

So, instead of getting one of those, I opted for the less expensive LG Vu. Granted, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the iPhone but it looks just as pretty. I’m fairly happy with it aside from its lack of customization but nonetheless, I actually feel as if I got a deal. I’ve dubbed my LG Vu the poor man’s iPhone and with my 2 months of free MobileTV, I’ll take it.
